Overview:

Our (Anti-Financial Crime) AFC team is responsible for protecting Deutsche Bank from financial and reputational losses incurred by financial crimes by assessing, controlling and mitigating risks. Risk types related to Anti-Financial Crime are consolidated in a comprehensive and effective risk management framework that covers Anti-Money-Laundering, Sanctions & Embargoes, Anti-Bribery & Corruption as well as Anti-Fraud & Investigations.

The Regulatory Governance & Enforcement (RG&E) team also leads AFC's involvement in litigation and other contentious matters, as well as complex legal issues involving the department.

As an Anti-Money-Laundering Regulatory Change Advisor you'll work closely with Legal and Compliance colleagues. RG&E's team mandate is global. Its agenda is set by and agreed between the Global Head of RG&E and, for each region, the Regional Head of AFC. Members of the RG&E team will deal both with matters that are region-specific; and with global projects and matters, involving multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tracking relevant Anti-Money-Laundering (AML) related change including new regulations and laws, amending existing AML regulations and laws and Financial Crime related regulatory action / fines
  • Analysing the changes to determine impact to Deutsche Bank
  • Creating and overseeing the completion of gap analysis in order to ensure effective implementation of relevant changes
  • Managing the regulatory change radar process to ensure all stakeholders are aware of forthcoming expected changes in relevant laws and regulation
  • Assisting and advising the business areas when setting up new procedures and processes in relation to these processes
  • Developing ongoing and open communication with regulatory change peers as well as country management, business teams and Compliance Advisory representatives
  • Participating within AML related projects or represent the UK AML team at business led initiatives

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to deliver your responsibilities, which include multiple time limited deliverables with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work as a team and work with individuals in and outside the bank in a professional and collegiate manner
  • Educated to Bachelor's degree level (or equivalent qualification or experience)
  • Experience as an AFC or Compliance officer, or as an in-house lawyer, in a credible financial services organisation (preferable)
