Anti-Bribery and Corruption Counsel - Global Offshore Wind

Our Green Investment Group's global offshore wind business, is responsible for the successful management and delivery of a pipeline of 15+ GW of offshore wind projects, the origination of new opportunities and partnerships as well as the provision of asset management and advisory services to third party investors. The role is a unique opportunity for a qualified lawyer to move in-house whilst maintaining "hands-on" transactional experience as part of a rapidly growing business focused on offshore wind.
This role is a unique opportunity for an experienced Anti-Bribery and Corruption expert to lead its AB&C risk management programme.
Based in London, you will work in a global role with responsibility for several jurisdictions. You will report to the General Counsel of our Offshore Wind business. In addition to anti-bribery and corruption, you may also be asked to provide advice in relation to other areas, including whistleblowing and sanctions.
Your key deliverables will be to develop, implement and administer anti-bribery and corruption policies, procedures and controls across the business as well as conducting monitoring and assurance reviews to ensure controls are functioning properly. In assessing the business's risk profile on an ongoing basis, you will have particular focus on reporting, third parties, government interactions and procurement.
This will also see you developing and providing training and communications to employees and third parties and implementing procedures to conduct due diligence on new projects and markets, including coordinating with external advisers. In addition, you will manage ad hoc board escalations and routine periodic board reporting on anti-bribery and corruption risk management.
To be successful in the role you will likely be a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, gained in private practice or as in-house counsel, with a particular focus on financial crime including the UK Bribery Act and US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. You will also demonstrate sound judgment, as well as strong project management and communication skills.
