This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. As an Analyst on the Funding Support Team, the core function of the role is to validate the accuracy of currency balances on both branch and global cash accounts. Maximising the liquidity and minimising the cost of funding the banks operations.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

•          Proactively investigate and revised T0 and T+1 funding adjustments where applicable; by updating internal cash management projections 

•          Lifecycle issue management and support - Cancellations, amendments, options expiries etc

•          Oversight of local clearing and nostro settlement systems with Agent banks to manage daily liquidity requirements

•          Driving development of internal controls, mitigating operational risks through a proactive approach

•          Reporting daily, weekly and monthly KRI’s and ensure procedure documentation is current

•          Seek operational cost savings through process improvement and automation

 

Situated on the London trading floor, the Front Office Business Support team is the first line of defence for the business. The core function of the team is to minimise financial and/or regulatory issues that could arise from workflow failures, trade capture errors, settlement delays and technology issues impacting the bank. As an escalation point, the role will require constant interaction with Sales, Trading, our Operations hub, Technology, Finance and Risk teams.

Skills, knowledge and experience

 

  • Proven Cash Management, Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX or Commodities experience within an investment bank environment
  • Experience working within a global team, operating a follow the sun model
  • Strong technical aptitude: knowledge of systems, traded products, confirmations and settlements
  • Excellent working knowledge of Outlook, and Excel required. Sound knowledge Bloomberg and MS applications such as Word and PowerPoint preferred. SQL and programming skills are an advantage
  • An understanding of securities clearing, custody and current market/regulatory initiatives
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to change management strategy and implementation
  • Client Facing and Stakeholder Management skills - Strong Communication Skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills are vital to working within the firm’s demanding and focused environment
  • Risk & Control mind set - Strong analytical ability is essential. Able to identify process inefficiencies or control gaps, with drive to implement improvements
