Job Purpose

The London based Direct Lending Operations team is going through a period of significant growth due to new fund launches. To support this growth the team are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join them and to help develop the fund performance and analysis function.

The scope of the role is broad and will be suitable to someone who wants to contribute to the continued growth of the platform and improve the fund analysis function. The successful candidate will be working closely with the senior direct lending operations management team and they will be expected to build out the analysis function to be able to deliver analytical data across all funds on the platform.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will be joining a growing and important team, which is integral to continued success of the Direct Lending strategy. Applicants should be a team player, have a pro-active mindset and the ability to manage multiple workflows whilst contributing to a positive culture within the team.

The role is within a newly formed area in the team and will be responsible for generating and aggregating performance data and analysis for the Direct Lending strategy. Responsibilities will include:
  • Develop and maintain fund models including:
    • Quarterly roll forward models to generate expected returns on the Direct Lending platform
    • New fund models to enable analysis of expected returns for new fund ideas and to support the fund raising process.
  • Prepare both fund and asset level quarterly performance statistics which are used for both investor and internal reporting purposes.
  • Aggregation of performance data and preparation of performance reports for internal and investor reporting.
  • Contribute to the standardisation and improvement of process and establish controls to ensure consistent output across funds and models.
  • Contribute to new analysis requirements and evolve the role to meet future analytical needs on the platform.
  • Participation and lead, as required, quarterly performance planning process calls with Investor relations, Product Management and Portfolio Monitoring teams.
  • Principal point of contact with Investor relations and Product Management teams and liaison with Direct Lending Operations team to respond to queries
  • Participation in ongoing and ad hoc projects as required.

Experience and qualifications required:

We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail who has a numeric and analytical background. The successful candidate should be motivated about being in a fast growing business and being able to be a key contributor to a new but important area for the company.

The applicant will need to have achieved a minimum of a 2.1 (or equivalent) at degree level. Experience working within an asset manager or within debt funds would be preferable.
