My client a leading Global insurer is currently recruiting for a Regulatory Change Portfolio Director to join them on a permanent basis in their offices in Leeds. You’ll be joining their internal consulting function with a remit to help limit the impact of regulations, provide a horizonal view of upcoming regulations and facilitate the delivery of regulatory change initiatives. The ideal candidate will be well versed with delivering concurrent regulatory initiatives within the financial services sector.

  • Ability to identify and pursue the successful completion of key project products simultaneously ensuring quality and timeliness of all outputs
  • Proven experience in risk and regulations projects in a consultancy or financial services environment

 

Responsibilities

  • It is the responsibility of the Change Director to own the development and delivery of a project management program encompassing all the details of a project to the team members.  Identify all the internal and external resources required to complete the project successfully
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment and close down for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously
  • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall programme is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic and regulatory objectives
  • Oversee and shape estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
  • Define and guide the success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project and programme life cycle
  • Manage and mentor resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes and have oversight of the day-to-day project activities, resources.
  • Understand interdependencies between operations, technology and business needs
  • Advise and oversee the project scope and change request process.
  • Act as an internal quality control check for the programme, controlling on-going quality control and participation in quality issue resolution
  • Oversee the work with internal and external suppliers to define the Statement of Work and Specifications for the requested solutions and services
  • Monitor and control all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
  • Ensure that projects and programmes are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards. Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverable
  • Oversee project and programme issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline, escalating to senior management as required.
