Morgan McKinley's, Sussex Secretarial & Office Support team are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to work with our healthcare client based in Surrey.

This is a new role within the Business Development Team that will play a lead role in

Our clients ambitious growth and development plans.The role is based at the Head Office in Surrey but some travel will be required to travel to other areas as new services are developed.

Salary - Circa £40,000

Basis: Permanent

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Research and evaluate new contracts and grant funding opportunities
  • Maintain a pipeline of current and planned business development activity
  • To keep ahead of key developments, commissioning trends and best practice in the field of social care.
  • To develop digital, corporate and community fundraising capacity, including working with the Marketing Manager to market our services to potential donors
  • To develop and maintain excellent relationships with commissioners
  • Responsible for monitoring the progress of services and submitting progress reports
  • Ensure the organisation's policies and procedures are followed
  • To be aware of, comply with and promote Safeguarding, Equality & Diversity, Health & Safety policies and practices
  • To ensure any personal information regarding staff or the organisation is treated in the strictest confidence and in accordance with Data Protection and GDPR legislation, organisational policies and procedures

Skills and experience:
  • Experience of tendering for commissioned services
  • Experience applying to Charitable Trusts
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage
  • Experience researching and developing new projects and service models
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Driver with access to use of car for regular travel
