We are seeking a talented Operations Assistant Contracts to join our Settlement Operations team in Glasgow to perform the daily duties associated with all Contracts & Checking functions to ensure all transactions executed on behalf of our clients are processed correctly and timely.

Job Purpose:

To action any adjustments and investigate any queries raised by various internal departments including Front Office, Dealing and Settlement teams. To confirm all transactions dealt in the market have successfully matched in Crest and if not then liaise with appropriate parties to resolve any issues. The team are also responsible for MIFID II Transaction Reporting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manual contracting of trades with special instructions
  • Action any adjustments and investigate any queries raised by various internal departments including Front Office, Dealing and Settlement teams.
  • Crest Checking - reviewing crest checking reports to resolve unmatched items to ensure timely settlement
  • Transaction Reporting - monitor and produce MI (management information) on all reportable transactions to the FCA
  • Ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard and that any anomalies are reported to your line manager within agreed timescales
  • Respond to telephone enquiries in a timely professional manner

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Settlement operations experience gained within a financial institution, advantageous but not essential
  • Demonstrable interest in financial services and in particular investment management
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages: Minimum basic level Word and Excel
  • Strong Interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to communicate well both written and verbally
  • Relevant professional qualifications e.g., CISI Investment Operations Certificate desirable but not essential
