As a Barclays Equity Financing Group - Trade Support worker you will provide trade support to the firm's Equity Financing traders in London & Ireland. The support is varied with a high focus on settlement to ensure trades settle on time. This is mid-level position which is new to the Glasgow area although there is a wider UK network based in London. This would provide a lot of opportunities for growth and progression and there would be a lot of independent working due to the nature of the work.

What will you be doing?
• Monitor and intervene where necessary to ensure the timely settlement of high value & record date SBL trades
• Liaising with Traders, TCU, Settlements & Counterparts
• Use vendor systems (Equilend & Pirum) to identify trade mismatches
• Work closely with colleagues in MO to ensure trades are collateralised to enable settlement
• Manage rejected SBL returns in Equilend & Pirum
• Advising trading and/ or TCU of required amendments
• Be responsible for driving EMEA fails down; feed into the CSDR working program
• Identify trends on late settlements/ fails

What we're looking for:
• SBL experience from a top tier investment bank in a trade support
• Good understanding of Cash Security trade lifecycle, from initial trade execution through the settlement and post-settlement events
• Sound knowledge of Equity settlements, including Trade flows, Buy-Ins, Settlement Cycles of Major European Markets and Euroclear
• General understanding of CSDR regulations taking effect in February 2022

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Good working knowledge of Global1, Pirum & Equilend would be preferable
• Ability to crunch & analyse large volumes of data
• Cash / Non Cash / Triparty collateral management experience
