Corporate Technology (CT)

The Corporate Technology (CT) organization develops applications and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and all functions within the Corporate Administrative Office (CAO).
CT teams are aligned with corporate partners' evolving technology needs and the firm's ever expanding technology controls agenda.
A top CT priority is building scalable corporate systems. Teams focus on:

  • Responding to the evolving regulatory environment and helping to meet the firm's regulatory commitments by addressing internal and external commitments
  • Advancing the firm's Roadmap programs -- Single Sourcing of data, Architecture Convergence, and Rationalization of Platforms
  • Adopting industry leading technologies to support best-in-class business capabilities for high performance computing and data storage solutions
  • Driving innovation across the firm's corporate technology portfolio, increasing efficiencies through process automation, and Agile application development, with an emphasis on user experience and shorter development cycles
  • Investing in security & controls for cyber, access/entitlements uplift, data protection and application resiliency

We are seeking an experienced technologist with a Computer Science, Physics, or Math degree to spearhead delivery of challenging IT programs throughout the SDLC. The person needs to have the ability to work with many different teams to drive change for the program(s). The person should have excellent communication skills and be able to navigate a complex organizational structure to achieve their goals.

This role offers a candidate an exciting opportunity to analyze, design, and drive deliverables into production leveraging their business and technical expertise.

The successful candidate must have the ability and desire to work in a fast paced and challenging environment. They will be responsible for the ultimate success of the program(s). The candidate will define the roadmap for the team(s), be involved in technical designs, work closely with our business partners to understand their requirements, and communicate with senior IT staff on progress, issues, etc.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 8 years of experience developing with a programming language (C++, Java, C#, Python)
- Expertise using SQL with Oracle and/or Sybase
- Minimum 5 years Investment Bank experience
- Strong Communication Skills; Both verbal and written
- Ability to interact, influence, and provide IT expertise to senior stakeholders
- Ability to introduce latest and greatest technology to improve IT efficiency
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and a dynamic environment
- Ability to document business requirements and functional designs
- Plan and coordinate UAT testing with users and ensure that users have tested and signed off on changes
- Apply project management practices across all phases of software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Strong client focus, organizational, time management, and decision making skills
- Ability to work independently

Preferred Skills:
- Credit Risk experience within an Investment Bank
- Investment Bank experience with Risk, Trading, and Operations
- Fixed Income product knowledge with Derivatives (IRS & CDS), Loans, Bonds
- Exposure to distributed Java applications in a service based architecture
