We want a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to focus on "Design and Build" at a time of significant transformation, as we look to drive the implementation and adoption of Hybrid Cloud Products and Services in line with Government Digital Service (GDS) and DWP's own strategic hosting architectural principles.
You'll join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital. We're driving a once-in-a-generation transformation of government services, using fresh ideas and leading-edge technologies to create innovative, scalable and user-centric digital solutions.

The HCS team design, build and operate all DWP hosting infrastructure including Public Cloud and On-Premise hosting.
We need Infrastructure Engineer with significant experience of Windows Server or RHEL Operating Systems, and Virtualisation technologies such as VMware, AHV, and OLVM.
You will support the design and build of hosting solutions. You'll confirm requirements and produce High/Low Level Design documentation, with a focus on 'Design to Operate' and 'Secure by Design' principles.
