Morgan McKinley are delighted to be supporting a prestigious and nationally renowned firm of chartered accountants who are looking to add an Accounts Senior to the team in their Crawley office.

The firm acts for a wide spectrum of clients and individuals, across wide ranging sectors, industry and sizes to include large corporate clients, smaller SME's along with professional service and not for profit/charity clients. The firm provides the full range of audit, accounting and tax services, along with a focus on client care and an advisory approach, partnering clients with an added value ethos.

As an Accounts Senior, the successful candidate will undertake a varied role in which you will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from a variety of business sectors. The role will be focused towards the completion of audit assignments and you will be responsible for leading audits from the initial planning stage through to completion. The position will also include the finalisation and review of year-end accounts and corporation tax returns.

As a Senior you will be client facing and will be responsible for the supervision of junior staff, assisting in their development as they progress. Based out of the firm's Crawley office, you will work with clients from a multitude of industries and, due to the firm's excellent reputation in the area, you will gain exposure to working with some of the region's premier businesses.

The ideal candidate will be ACA / ACA Qualified or at the final stages of their studies and will have recent experience of undertaking a mixed audit and accounts position.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives
  • Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
  • Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
  • Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
  • Supervising & developing more junior members of staff
  • Accounts preparation for limited companies as well as some sole traders & partnerships

Skills:
  • ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
  • Experience of leading Audit assignments
