This role would sit in our Motor Finance area, which is really exciting as there is so much opportunity to design products to help improve our customer's lives.

You'll be joining the Human Centred Design (HCD) team, which is a new team of 200+ designers and researchers across Lloyds Banking Group. Human Centred Design is formed of 9 different guilds, from interaction design to storytellers and design researchers. Interaction Design forms about 10% of HCD.
Much of your time as an Interaction Designer in HCD will be spent in Labs. As an Interaction Designer in a Lab you'll have unparalleled opportunities to help re-think how we communicate findings, challenges, users' needs and rethink the experience of services from the ground up. Tasked with understanding users through research and design techniques, you'll be designing and delivering ideas that improve our customer's day to day prosperity and experience of Lloyds.
As an Interaction Designer you'll be a member of a multi-disciplinary design team, sitting inside of a value stream. You'll work with service designers, researchers and engineers, as well front line staff and people who deliver your ideas; find new challenges and understand what our users' really need. Your role will be integral in communicating that understanding, and turning it into impact through prototypes, posters, research artefacts and campaigns within your team. Each lab works differently, and you'll be responsible for leading how that lab uses graphic and interaction design to not just design the services of the future, but generate intrigue and excitement about users and their needs.
You'll be primarily responsible for the creative thinking behind how we help people see the art of the possible, and help to create prototypes for people to build and deliver. You'll also work closely with engineers and developers to help design the experience of our bank across digital screens, physical letters and more, working on both current services and products, as well as more futuristic problem solving and ideation.

Highly experienced in designing artefacts that help turn research into impact and intrigue, crafting prototypes that show the art of the future In depth experience in designing, iterating and delivering experiences that help improve the experience of using our services. Leading co-design workshops on features, artefacts and helping to rethink how we deliver impact across value streams. Good all round design skills: our interaction designers work across physical and digital formats, and will be asked to work outside of their comfort zone - we'd love someone who thrives off of this. Someone willing to coach new team members and leaders in the role of interaction design, and help use it to challenge what we believe about our work and problems.
