Your role
In this unique and interesting role, you will provide specialised support and guidance for the Data Protection Assessment Service such as:
  • Subject matter expertise in privacy, technology, or information security.
  • Project intake and risk level assignments
  • Detailed review of complex regulatory requirements
  • Formal, detailed compliance documentation
You will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive review process across multiple geographies, eliminating inefficiencies of ad-hoc single country reviews, and enabling faster delivery and improved quality using a global process.
Activities include, but are not limited to;
  • Creating compliance monitoring plan and reviews to assess compliance,
  • Conducting inventory of all global processes/procedures/ systems that collect and use both personal and client data, and storage management matters.
  • Additionally, you will measure and direct program compliance with standards.
In this role, you will be consulted by and will collaborate with member firms, business unit leaders, and multiple stakeholders to provide a global, centrally-managed data privacy assessment service for technologies, processes, and procedures impacting multiple geographies. You will bring strategic, operational, and relationship management skills, as well as a keen understanding of the data risk review assessment process, to support the timely and accurate provision of assessment services.

Location: Cardiff

Work pattern: This is a permanent contract opportunity. The role can be worked on a full-time basis.

Your professional experience
  • Subject matter expertise in at least one of the following disciplines; Data privacy, information security or a more technical information technology background
  • Proven ability to analyse, model and interpret data
  • In-depth understanding of data regulatory and contractual requirements
  • Demonstrated success working with all levels of an organisation
  • Clearly & positively supports and drives the successful operations of global data protection and being able to appropriately document
  • Ability to lead change and act as change agent
  • Ability to work with individuals from different geographies
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and listening skills
  • Excellent leadership presence with the ability to build credibility, consensus and trust across organizational levels
  • Ability to work successfully in a matrixed environment
  • Superlative project management skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Ability to prioritize deployment in a fast-paced environment and negotiate across levels
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in an applicable subject
  • Compliance, Privacy, Client Confidentiality, Audit, Legal OR Technology experience
  • English fluency required
  • IAPP privacy certification (e.g. CIPP, CIPT, CIPM) Preferred
  • Legal/contractual awareness
