We are looking for a Deputy Finance Director to join our team to contribute to the strategic management of the RSL in all areas of its activities.

We are looking for a Deputy Finance Director to join our team to contribute to the strategic management of the RSL in all areas of its activities.    This is a newly created senior role which will be responsible for managing the operations and finances of Platinum Skies Living Limited – our ‘for Profit’ RSL.   This business is central to the Platinum Skies Group.  If you are looking for your next challenge and are organised with a questioning and challenging mind – this is the job for you.

Your new role:

Reporting to the Group Chief Executive Officer you will:

  • Be responsible for managing the day to day and long term financial affairs of the RSL, ensuring that the RSL meets its strategic objectives.
  • Ensure the RSL is adequately funded to be able to deliver its strategy.
  • Develop and implement exceptional financial management reporting, ensuring users are provided with accurate, timely and meaningful information and support.
  • Lead and manage banking relationships and take the lead in arranging loan facilities by negotiating with potential lenders.
  • Liaise with third party advisors including banks, auditors and lawyers

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) although individuals who are qualified by experience will also be considered
  • You will have significant post-qualification experience in a senior finance role with involvement in serving a Board.
  • Experience working with the RSLs and the HCA is very desirable
  • You must be able to think strategically and analytically
  • You will have good organisational skills, be able to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • You will already have a 100% hands on work ethic – this is not a role for someone who is looking to sit back and let others do the work.
  • You will have the ability to work within a collaborative, challenging and consultative environment with a multitude of personalities
