Associate (601) – Access Policy Controls Analyst
Role Overview:

Access to key business systems is one of the top priorities for JPMorgan Chase & Co. To manage cybersecurity and business risk within the firm, we operate a number of key access management controls to keep those risks to a minimum while still maintaining a secure, efficient operating business environment. To achieve such goals, we need to design controls so that they are aligned to the needs of the business while balancing with the necessary governance and policies on cybersecurity. We have created a team that consistently designs these controls and models them based on security and business goals in partnership with business, technology and controls organizations. The Policy Administration team is a business controls team tasked with the key functions of designing and maintaining business centric access management policies and implementing them within the access management systems. Partnership with business and technology is a key component of this role. Consequently, this role represents a key to how we manage cybersecurity and business risk in the future.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement access roles for business users across all our key business segments in partnership with key business, technology and controls partners
  • Develop detailed understanding of the business areas in order to design access aligned with their operating models
  • Utilize the core access management systems to maintain role definitions and seek approval of changes as systems and organizations change
  • Analyze data as a driver for the decision making, design, and implementation of controls; driver results based on facts or analysis
  • Partner with controls, operations, technology and third party stakeholders to define the access standard requirements for JPM access to enterprise information assets
  • Continuously review our current information asset entitlements and identify opportunities to enhance metadata associated with the entitlements including better business descriptions
  • Improve current processes by identifying trends, ineffective procedures and perform root cause analysis to enhance efficiency of the operational aspects of the program
  • Strengthen controls by identifying gaps and making change recommendations in order to enforce and enhance data integrity
  • Provide concrete plans on implementing monitoring frameworks for the control objectives
  • Communicate effectively to LOB partners and other control functions to share knowledge
  • Work with program office on reporting and score-card


Requirements:
  • Demonstrated relevant work experience in a Business Analyst, Program/Project Management, Technical Lead or similar role
  • Analytical and data analysis tools with experience in handling larger data sets
  • Strong, proactive task-based approach with focus on delivery
  • Ability to lead individuals and projects and experience with presenting a proposal or solution
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and make independent decisions
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written skills and strong, broad-based communications skills - ability to discuss range of topics with a variety of business managers from operations through executive and build strong working relationships
  • Self-motivated & confident with the ability to demonstrate leadership, challenging and influencing change where necessary
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities and work in a fast paced environment
  • Sound business judgment and objectivity
  • Bachelor's degree in a financial, controls, or operational domain or Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology and/or field such as information security
  • Individual will work predominantly in UK shift, flexibility with shifts is desirable

Desired but not Required:
  • Experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM), Information Security, or cybersecurity
  • Experience with Roles or Attribute based Access Controls
  • Experience with data analytical technologies
  • Experience with statistical tools
  • Comprehensive knowledge of process analysis and control design techniques
  • Understanding of risk assessment methodologies and standards with expectations to track risks and manage them
