Analyst / Associate - Real Estate Debt Investment

We are working with one of the world’s leading Real Estate focused private equity firms to hire an Analyst / Associate for their European Real Estate Debt Investing team in London.

The firm is very well capitalised and the team focuses on sourcing and structuring complex Real Estate debt transactions (mezzanine, whole loans, acquisition finance, transitional asset finance, structured credit, CMBS) across Europe and across a broad range of Real Estate asset classes, covering both investment and development finance.

As an Analyst / Associate in this well-established but expanding team, you will have exposure to all aspects of origination and execution of investments.


  • Analysis of potential new lending opportunities
  • Engage in all aspects of the transaction, including valuation, financial and technical diligence, documentation and asset management
  • Execute financial modelling and credit analysis through construction of cash flow models and internal financing memorandums
  • Track and manage the pipeline of potential transactions
  • Previous commercial real estate experience
  • Two to six years of experience in real estate finance; banks, non-bank lenders or real estate debt funds, RE debt advisors
  • A high level of cash-flow modelling ability and an understanding of loan structures
  • Strong experience of analysing and executing new real estate lending opportunities and loan restructures/work outs
  • Undertaking appropriate loan and property due diligence

  • Possess a strong academic background and demonstrate an interest in real estate and finance
  • Possess the financial acumen to be able to create effective financial models
  • Highly analytical coupled with strong presentational skills
  • Ability to think through problems and identify solutions in a detailed manner
  • Has the ability to communicate and interact with confidence and professional ease with internal and external senior executives
  • Possess a strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task multiple projects whilst maintaining a high level of performance and efficiency
  • Is capable to conduct general research and due diligence in a thorough manner, under a limited amount of guidance
