Job Purpose

The EMEA Operations Regulatory Control Depositor Protection (DP) team performs a key role in a number of DP processes including Single Customer View (SCV) exception reporting, SCV engine mapping table updates and validating the completeness and accuracy of regulatory files generated. 
The group acts as central point of contact within Oand T for DP issues enabling transparency and escalation and is responsible for participating in the Business aligned Depositor Protection Oversight Group meeting.

Job Background


This role is within the Depositor Protection (DP) Regulatory Control team as part of the Belfast Operations Control department.  The individual will be primarily responsible for all business as usual processes relating to DP across four Legal Entities; CBNA London, CEP UK, CEP Plc & CUKL.  ORC provide monitoring and oversight of the SCV engine and related controls, including; producing data quality exceptions reports and other MIS from the engine.

The team is continuously engaged with Change partners identifying areas for automation, inputting into Business Requirements, performing UAT and updating procedures resulting from change.  The team is working on building upon the existing DP governance process within O&T working closely with O&T managers and Client Asset & Depositor Protection Oversight (CA&DPO) Office. 
Key Responsibilities:

• To maintain the mapping documentation of requirements to controls in the SCV engine
• To co-ordinate the response to regulatory queries on the SCV system
• Managing user access to the SCV system
• Request production of SCV and Exclusions View for CBNA London within 24 hours of a request from either the PRA or FSCS, or upon a similar request by the CAand DPO
• Upon notification from CEP ICRM or CAand DPO, co-ordinate the retrospective running of CEP Quarterly coverage with EMEA EU Depositor Protection
• Production report following any local country reviews and identification of subsequent corrections
• Run the Quarterly CBI reports and submit to the Irish Compliance DL
• Liaise with Legal Entity Compliance representatives to report issues for advice and/or escalation
• Chair and co-ordinate stakeholder review meetings for the quarterly CBI Quarterly Coverage Report
• To co-ordinate  stakeholder review and sense check of monthly deposit variance analysis reports
• To submit signed off reports to the regulator/scheme administrator
• Adherence to all Control and Compliance requirements and updating procedures as required.
• Identification of areas for improving existing regulatory reporting processes and controls, supporting the Change Team, Technology and other relevant stakeholders to deliver technology solutions for manual processes, assisting with UAT where required.
• Participation in ad-hoc projects as required.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience:
  • The ideal candidate would have experience in Securities & Banking Operations, or in a Control or Regulatory/Compliance function with strong product knowledge and a working understanding of systems and product flows.
  • Knowledge of CASS rules and regulations would be advantageous.
  • Team player who works well with colleagues of all levels in achieving value-added results.
  • Ability to build productive working relationships across Operations
  • Ability to consistently deliver work of a high standard whilst under pressure.
  • Understand the front to back technology used within the day to day processes.

Qualifications:

• Educated to degree level
• Industry Exams would be advantageous.
