Data Analyst - Central Belfast
Looking for an experienced Data Analyst open to relocating to Belfast to join a fantastic team and grow their experience within a Global Investment Bank.

Data Analyst - Information Services Group (ISG): Accounts Control and Reference Data

£164.29/day LTD

6 Month Initial Contract - likely to extend

The Role

This role is within Accounts Control Group (ACG) Belfast and will involve interaction with ACG teams globally, Middle Office, Settlements and IT. The successful candidate will work with various business areas including but not restricted too Equities, Fixed Income and FX.

The role will be a mixture of business as usual support, data analysis and tactical/ strategic development.

The successful candidate will have an excellent opportunity to develop an in-depth knowledge of SSI data and SSI authentication processes within the company, account opening and maintenance and project work. Broad exposure to reference data concepts and work streams within ISG.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring all documented processes are followed correctly
  • BAU support for the Operations and Accounts Control depts.
  • On-going authentication of settlement instructions in a variety of internal applications
  • Daily interaction with clients & other depts. via telephone
  • SSI & Accounts MIS reporting
  • Data analysis

Key Skills & Experience
  • Banking/Financial services experience would be beneficial
  • Proven understanding and exposure of talking to clients
  • Taking ownership of allocated work and being accountable
  • Experience of following procedures/guidelines
  • Strong Microsoft skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong focus on Control and Process optimisation
  • Proactive and able to work with remote teams
  • Flexibility around working hours
  • Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly to all levels of the organisation
  • Organised with an excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to focus on high quality work while under pressure
  • Comfortable working with large quantities of data
  • Comfortable working independently in a dynamic and challenging environment
  • Comfortable speaking to clients on the telephone
