A large shopping centre and global developer is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team. This is a full time, perm role.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
*Ownership all bank reconciliations
*Involvement in shopping centre asset accounting and month end procedures, including period end closing journal entries (e.g. concierge income, carpark income) and balance sheet reconciliations (e.g. tenant deposits
*Responsible for asset finance administration processes including preparing invoice requisitions/purchase orders where required and managing the asset's gift card requisition processes
*Provide support to the Centre Management team / operational stakeholders with regards to Finance-related queries (e.g. appropriate expense coding for purchase orders, appropriate purchasing processes)
*Work alongside the Asset Finance team to deliver the asset's compliance obligations, including VAT and CIS compliance and resolving external audit queries and requests for information
*Cash management - ensure physical cash collected within the asset is reconciled and banked on at least a monthly basis
*Support initiatives to drive continuous improvement in financial processes and controls as required (e.g. SAP ERP implementation)
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications:
*Relevant experience in similar Assistant Accountant / Accounts Administrator roles. Previous experience working within Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable would be advantageous
*Proactive in engaging others and able to work effectively in a team or independently
*Enthusiasm and energy to deliver in a fast paced environment
*Highly organised, with the ability to multi-task or prioritise work load appropriately
*Intermediate excel skills (no macros or lookups required - training will be provided)
Salary: £35k-41k - experience dependent.
