Your Role

In this 80%-100 % role you are part of the Treasury Planning and Analytics team that leads the reporting and analytics of Zurich's Group capital and liquidity position. Furthermore, you will be leading ad-hoc finance projects in the context of physical and economic capital and economic performance management.

As a Senior Treasury Manager your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Be responsible for the Group's Return on Capital (ROC) framework that aims to provide senior management with an instrument to assess the performance of businesses and provide guidance to Business Units and Group management on how to manage growth, performance and balance sheet of their businesses. This includes supervising the annual ROC production process, business partnering with regional and local finance teams and providing senior management with a view on the economic performance of Business Units across the Group.

  • Work closely with local, regional and Group finance teams on identifying opportunities to improve risk / return trade-offs from a physical and economic capital standpoint, while taking into account other constraints such as liquidity or earnings contribution to Group.

  • Build a picture of Zurich's balance sheets in terms of risk, economic and regulatory capital requirements, liquidity, leverage, return on capital and legal entity structure.

  • Collaborate closely with other central and regional teams on ad-hoc projects in the area of M&A and capital deployment strategies, physical and economic capital optimization initiatives as well as liquidity and rating agency topics.

Your Skills and Experience

As a Senior Treasury Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics. CFA, CPA, FRM or other post-graduate finance qualification are a plus

  • At least 5-7 years of insurance experience within finance and ability to analyze complex financial data

  • Structured personality with the ability to work on multiple tasks

  • Corporate finance and insurance accounting knowledge is required

  • Prior project management experience is an asset

  • Treasury knowledge and knowledge of regulatory capital regimes is a plus

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

  • Ability to work independently, under pressure and conscious of deadlines is required
