  • A senior technical role as a Big Data Technical Lead within a recently established Analytics IT team. This team designs and builds an analytics platform using modern Big Data technologies and provides services to enable Credit Suisse Data Scientists to do their work
  • Collaborate closely with business facing teams to understand data and functional requirements
  • Provide leadership in all aspecs related to technical architecture of the solution, including environment design and configuration, data modelling, data integration, data presentation, information security and other IT architecture related topics
  • Design and build data pipelines to pick up, integrate, standardise, clean and publish data
  • Define and build integration patterns with downstream applications
  • Support Data Scientist in their day-to-day work
  • Provide guidance for the Big Data Engineers in developing data sourcing and data preparation pipelines
  • Ownership for the development lifecycle including change and release management
  • Support the head of the function in planning and day-to-day management of the team

You Offer
  • Education in IT or another technical specialisation, ideally with a focus on Data Management
  • Experience in data sourcing, data modelling, data integration and data warehousing
  • Experience with Hadoop based analytical solutions, ideally on Cloudera distribution
  • Practical skills in creating data processing pipelines (Python, Spark, Scala or a similar tools)
  • Good knowledge of SQL, Hive and Impala databases
  • Ideally experience with Jupyter Notebook, Hue and/or other end user tools
  • Experience in configuration and change management
  • Agile development experience is a plus
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, be comfortable with changing priorities and tight deadlines, manage you own workload with minimum supervison
  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships with colleagues in IT and business groups
  • Very good communication skills in English; German is an advantage.
