A Fund based in Geneva is looking for a senior finance professional to head up fund finance and quant analysis across their portfolio

Opportunity to relocate to Geneva

Dartmouth Partners have been retained by an activist alternative investor based in Geneva. The company established in 2007 focuses on long-term capital preservation and appreciation through investments in publicly traded entities.

To date the manager has raised over £1.5 Billion via a number of sources that have invested alongside the Partners of the business. The investment team has seen significant growth and as such there is a need to bring a Director of Finance and Quantitative Analysis to bolster the team and provide significant commercial analysis and support as the company continues to scale.

Key Duties:

  • Responsible for valuation, performance and analysis of the fund Assist the COO on strategic matters and development of infrastructure
  • Provide support to analysts and business development teams with all monthly and ad-hoc analysis
  • Shadow Accounting across all funds
  • Preparation of performance, risk and regulatory reports; Risk management and monitoring;
  • Review and reconcile NAVs with funds’ administrators;
  • Liaise with external auditor and in charge of annual statutory funds audit process;
  • Work with external tax adviser to prepare tax & investor returns
  • Oversee daily operations Monitor events such as corporate actions and dividends
  • Responsible for special projects and ad-hoc risk reporting
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Candidate Requirements:

  • Willing to relocate to Geneva, Switzerland
  • 5+ years experience working in alternative investments
  • University degree in finance with a solid background in fund accounting
  • Experience of maintaining and running Portfolio
  • Proficient with Excel including a strong knowledge of VBA;
  • Detail oriented, with a resourceful, proactive, team-oriented attitude
  • Strong communication, time management, analysis and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently as part of a small team;
