Reporting to the Regional Senior Accounting Manager, the incumbent will drive highly efficient financial closing activities, statutory requirements in IFRS and CO and closing reporting processes and provide maintenance support to all users on SAP FI/CO while leading improvements with the IS organization.

We are looking for an Accounting Manager - SAP FI/CO Key User to join their Finance organization.

Description

  • Manage all accounting and statutory reporting activities of the Swiss entity: general accounting, AP, AR, asset, cash, closing procedure and reporting. Reconcile all intercompany activities related to the legal entity. Compute I/C billings, including royalties.

  • Lead and drive outsourced service provider in delivering best-in class transactional accounting services as when as closing and reporting services. Supervise one Junior Accountant.

  • Ensure a robust, compliant, accurate and cost effective accounting and controlling infrastructure for the Swiss legal entity under the guidance of the Regional Senior Accounting Manager and lead continuous improvement.

  • Analyze and report financials monthly in a clear and concise way, action driven including timely follow up of opened items

  • Manage the Regional banking structure, accesses and web-based payment platform

  • Manage Regional cash reporting as well of cash forecasting and cash pooling activities. Liaise with various banking suppliers to maintain proper cash level in various entities.

Maintain proper quality metrics on key subject matters (AP, AR, cash,…) monitor quality and trends over time.

Support cost center framework and structure, including invoice approval workflow system. Manage accruals, prepaid and Opex on a monthly basis and associated reviews and reporting activities.

As SAP FICO advanced user, identify and lead SAP developments along with IS team. Report periodically on progress.

Complete ad hoc financial analysis, conduct financial training as needed, prepare presentations for Senior Management and perform project work as requested.

Profile

Bachelor degree in business, finance or accounting or related field with 6+ years business related experience.

Qualified Accountant & Experience in an international company operating a Swiss HQ

Experience in a Big4 in Audit.

1 to 3 years project leadership/management experience.

Solid understanding and experience with financial business processes; financial reporting, accounting, including group intercompany activities and legal/tax requirements.

Advanced computer/systems skills - Excel, PowerPoint, SAP FI/CO, SD/MM, database management.

Business acumen with analytical and problem solving skills. Service oriented.

Excellent understanding of accounting and controlling requirements including IFRS,CO accounting standards and SOX.

Practical experience with internal and external auditors. Compliance mind set. Proven ability to drive external service providers.

Excellent attention to details while keeping sight of the big picture, ability to (re)prioritize continuously.

Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism. Solution-driven and process improvement mind set.

Must be customer centric and be able to balance the demands of a rapidly growing, complex entrepreneurial environment, while delivering results in the short term.
