Business Analyst, Credit Risk (12 month contract)

Swisslinx are looking for a highly motivated Business Analyst with an IT background to work in the area of credit risk on behalf of our international banking client for a new 12 month contract in Ticino, Switzerland with a strong potential for extension.

This is a rolling contract starting ASAP, with a latest start date of December 2018.

Working in an international team that covers the entire Credit Risk area for the bank, you will work on a worldwide data platform, where all private banking worldwide data is stored and used for different purpose (calculation, reporting, analyze, stress testing) and be responsible for ensuring data quality and alignment.

The project is centered on an application that sources data from various source systems, transforms and integrates that data from multiple sources and then makes it available, via several different nature of interface, to other systems

As the ideal candidate you will possess the following skills/experience:

- Minimum 5 years in requirements engineering in application development projects (ideally you will have a background as a SW Engineer)
- Background in data analytics and experience at using SQL to query and analyse data from a database
- Familiarity with data flows and data catalogue / data gap analysis
- Experience in system implementation / projects and testing experience
- Experience with architecture diagrams (mainly UML component diagrams)
- Understanding of credit risk nice to have
- Experience of data modelling ideal
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, and written/verbal communication skills
- Excellent written and spoken communication in English language
- Ability to work autonomously and problem solve

In this role you will provide business analysis functions for our client's Global Credit Risk systems, consisting of a number of high-profile global web applications, with a user base running to several thousands. Your responsibilities will include the following.

- Analyses requirements to identify data sources, evaluates data suitability and quality.
- Elicits, analyses, models and validates business requirements, conditions and priorities within application development projects in the Credit Risk Domain
- Identification and documentation of requirements for new data feeds and data feed changes.
- Documents and specifies mapping and transformation of data from inbound data feeds into the application data model. Documents and specifies data extracts and reports.
- Ensures that specified requirements are transmitted entirely and correctly to the development and test team members by writing clear and detailed functional and non-function requirements specifications.
- Supports developers and testers by resolving business issues that come up during the technical implementation and testing phase.
- Provides subject matter expertise to support the development and validation of quality assurance, application architecture, testing and other project deliverables.
- Production and sign-off of standard requirements engineering deliverables (Interface Specifications, Data Delivery Agreements, Use Case Model, Use Cases, Domain Object Model, Business Rule Specifications, Screen Specifications, Non Functional Requirements Specifications, Traceability) on time and with high quality.
- Effort estimations and task planning for Requirements Engineering related project tasks
- Develops functional area expertise with business engineering process standards, tools (Subversion, JIRA, Enterprise Architect, HP Application Lifecycle Management etc.) and techniques.
