Customer Value Management is vital in maintaining HSBC’s position as a provider of world-class wealth and personal banking solutions, directing business development with a focus on customers. The team works to ensure the most appropriate pricing, products and promotions are directed to the most relevant customers, concentrating on building value, treating customers fairly and creating a superb customer experience.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President, Retail Product Governance, Control & Process.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Manage Group standard on Product Governance for each Product program
  • Engage effectively with the Retail Product heads and other key stakeholders (e.g. 2LODs) to deliver the Group standard
  • Support and coordinate Retail Banking Product Committee meetings, Pricing Committee meetings, Range Review and FVE annual assessments
  • Ensure product and controls meet regulatory requirements
  • Track changes in regulation and evaluate its impact on the product
  • Track and monitor Product Governance related Audit actions (including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points) and engage, as appropriate, with the relevant stakeholders for their closure
  • Monitor Product related control incidents and breaches and Follow through on the closure of remedial actions within the agreed timeline 
  • Support the implementation, maintenance and improvement of their specific processes and its interactions with other processes
  • Identify the upstream/downstream impact of any process changes to meet any local/Group regulatory/business requirements
  • Define / design a process, identify links and interactions with other processes
  • Maintain the central depository of Retail Products processes and ensure proper audit trail for updates/approvals


  • Good product knowledge with several years in the industry preferably with prior work experience in assurance, governance, process design or project management
  • Strong skills in MS Visio, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to liaise with and influence others to agree a change of direction or new process
  • Experience working to tight deadlines in a fast moving environment
