Vice President - Rates Options & Exotics Desk Quantitative Analyst

Role Overview:
This position is a senior-level technical expert within the trading environment, responsible for developing and implementing quantitative models that drive insights into market trends, optimise trading decisions, and support risk management. The role involves collaborating with various teams to create innovative solutions and provide strategic guidance, contributing significantly to the organisation’s trading and investment objectives.

Key Skills & Experience:
• Proven expertise in quantitative analysis and mathematical modelling
• Experience with YSW 2012 or similar technical skill set
• Strong understanding of financial markets, derivatives, and trading strategies
• Ability to lead complex, multi-year analytical projects
• Excellent stakeholder influencing and negotiation skills

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement quantitative models and strategies to analyse market trends and optimise trading decisions, pricing, and risk management.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis, statistical modelling, and research to provide actionable insights.
• Support front office infrastructure through ownership and maintenance of analytical libraries.
• Work closely with sales teams to understand client needs and develop customised solutions.
• Advise senior management and stakeholders on technical and strategic matters.
• Manage risks by assessing and strengthening controls, ensuring adherence to policies and industry best practices.
• Lead or guide teams of specialists on long-term, structured projects; train and mentor less experienced team members.
• Collaborate across departments to align strategies and support business objectives using sophisticated analytical thought.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in quantitative analysis within a trading or financial environment
• Strong analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with YSW 2012 or relevant quantitative methodologies
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with on-site presence as required
