About the Department
Group Finance
Group Finance fulfils a dual role of governance and value-add in support of UOB's performance and strategic objectives. We are responsible for the financial, regulatory and performance reporting of UOB Group, and fulfilling our mandate as stewards of the Bank's resources by ensuring the right levels of controls and oversight over the use of the Bank's resources. At the same time, we support senior management and the businesses by providing insights into the performance of the Group and its businesses and geographies in order to support enhanced decision making over both the short and long term in order to achieve optimal and sustainable financial outcomes for our shareholders.

Financial Information Management (FIM), Group Finance
Financial Information Management (FIM) drives the strategic roadmap for the Bank's financial systems and partners with stakeholders and GTO Technology specialists to deliver solutions to support the growth of UOB. We aim to protect and enhance Group Finance value through optimizing the use of our systems and tools as we implement a controlled Finance architecture.

Job Responsibilities
The candidate will be part of Financial Information Management (FIM) within Group Finance under the Change Management organization structure. Your key responsibilities include:
  • End-to-end delivery of assigned project while ensuring strong risk management and project governance
  • Represent Finance in cross stream projects and collaborate with partners in various work streams to ensure successful delivery of the assigned project
  • Day-to-day management of project risks and issues
  • Lead and guide team members during project execution; guide your team in defining Finance requirements, performing functional impact assessment, risk assessment and defining User Acceptance Test Strategy
  • Transition project to production support teams with proper documentation and training
  • Provide support in resolving post implementation issues during warranty period
  • Strengthen business analysis capabilities in your team


Job Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting / Finance/ Business or its equivalent professional certificates
  • At least 8-10 years of relevant experience Financial Services industry; of which, at least 4 years as a project manager
  • Prior work experience as a business analyst / project manager with proven track record of managing projects in any of the following areas is a plus :
    • Front-to-back projects for Trade Finance or Treasury Products
    • Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting or Performance Management reporting
  • A relevant project management certification (e.g. Agile, PMI) is preferred
  • Aptitude for system related work, good knowledge of project planning and implementation including requirement gathering, impact assessment and test planning
  • Experience and confidence in dealing with various levels of management
  • Proven team leader with strong interpersonal skills and possesses drive to lead and guide team members
  • Self-starter with resilience and resourcefulness
  • Possess strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
