VP/AVP, Project Manager, Technology and Operations
Business Function
Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
  • Effective management and delivery of projects
  • Manage the project scope, schedule, and project resources
  • Manage project stakeholders with effective communication
  • Manage project risk and issues
  • Manage change request
  • Ensure project quality and adhere to corporate project governance policy
  • Ensure proper project closure
  • Drive project forward to meet project objective with Business PM
  • Develop Business Case and Financial Case together with Business PM
  • Agile delivery with product roadmap in mind
  • Facilitate vendor evaluation and selection
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plan
  • Identify and manage project risks/issues
  • Conduct PSC and working level meetings with Business PM and stakeholders
  • Accurate and timely monthly project or program status reporting
  • Perform regular quality assessment and submit Quality Checklist
  • Ensure that key project deliverables are inspected
  • Ensure that project reviews are performed at the specified control gates
  • Manage project financials including monthly accruals and process project-related invoices
  • Manage IT requisition for project
  • Ensure system issues and defects are assigned and resolved in a timely manner
  • Monitor actual performance against estimates and planned performance and take corrective or preventive action where required
  • Ensure development of all project deliverables in a quality and timely manner
  • Ensure smooth project go live and conduct walkthrough of cutover plan with the project team
  • Conduct post implementation review
  • Ensure proper handover from development team to BAU team
  • Submit Project Completion Report and ensure successful completion of the project
  • At least 5 - 7 years of IT Project Management experience and/or Business Analysis in Finance/Banking sector
  • Candidates should have sound banking product knowledge preferably in Trading or Treasury related products
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent qualification. Preferably in engineering or IT background.
  • PMP Certification, CITPM Certification, or similar project management certifications.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good teamwork and inter-relationship skills
  • Fast learner to pick up sufficient business knowledge in a short timeframe
  • Adaptable, disciplined and focused
  • Organised and systematic
  • Versatile and able to think out-of-the-box
  • Good, sound knowledge of banking and technology
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Experienced in managing large scale project
  • Good knowledge in systems, processes, risks and technology
  • Good understanding of Treasury & Markets products and business and its latest development
  • Agile working experience is highly preferred
  • Work closely with senior management, stakeholders, internal IT, users as well as suppliers and 3rd party vendors.
