Job Descriptions

• Review and analyze medical, financial and personal information in a timely manner to classify an individual’s insurability and provide an underwriting decision. Decisions are based on generally accepted underwriting principles and the company’s and the reinsurer’s underwriting guidelines and philosophies
• Effectively communicate and explain decision to the sales force and respond to any inquiries
• Develop underwriting guidelines deemed appropriate for the sound acceptance of policies eg. Panel of doctors and list of hospitals locally and overseas, acceptable countries of residences, insurable interests, submission-decision-appeals, documentary evidence required, and any other relevant guidelines
• Contribute to a positive environment through team work, strong communication skills and a spirit of professional development and continuous improvement

Our Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of Life Underwriting experience and at least 3 years in underwriting High Net Worth cases
• Underwriting authority limits of at least $15m
• Proven decision-making skills and willing to take calculated risks
• Excellent communications skills have worked with major reinsurers is preferred
•  Ability to balance Sales and acceptable level of risks and to justify one’s position
• Takes personnel ownership and accountability for consistently meeting standards and targets
• Technical aptitude – the ability to learn various applications tools
