TTS APAC Core Banking and Loans Technology Head
  • The APAC Treasury & Trade Solutions business offers Liquidity Management, Payments, Receivables, Channels (electronic banking) and Commercial Card services to Corporate & Institutional clients in 18 Asian markets.
  • The APAC TTS Core Banking and Loans Technology Head is a critical leadership role in delivering the end to end technology services & platform to the Liquidity Management business & clients in addition to core DDA and Ledger services.
Leadership / Management Key Responsibilities:
  • Business alignment - close partnership with TTS APAC Liquidity Management business and operations to ensure the technology priorities are fully aligned with business strategy (short & long term)
  • End to end project & production service delivery - lead the TTS APAC Core Banking Technology team in collaboration with other support groups to deliver projects/programs to support the franchise and provide production support services (L3)
  • Technology architecture & application roadmap - design the Core Banking applications architecture & roadmap to enable business capabilities, rationalize the Core Banking application landscape and be future-proof
  • Management of a diverse project portfolio which in addition to delivery, requires strong management of stakeholder requirements and prioritization, financial planning and portfolio scope and resource management
  • Continuous quality improvements - drive continuous improvements both in software development quality and software run-time quality by adopting industry best practices
  • Drive optimization of the Core Banking end of day batch while also provide 24x7 on-line DDA processing for the evolving Faster Payments landscape
  • YoY efficiency & productivity improvements - manage budget/cost, forecast/spent accurately with transparency. Drive YoY efficiency and productivity by vendor rationalization, resource & location strategy, in(out)-sourcing (as and when appropriate)
  • Talent management - build, maintain, motivate and elevate large multi-culture, cross-location teams
  • Risk management - manage technology risks (e.g. IT security) to minimize the risks introduced by the technology stack used by cash management applications


Candidate Qualifications (Key competencies, Min years of experience, Min prior span of control, Technical skills):
  • This role requires a broad and comprehensive knowledge of the field with at least 15-20 years' experience in information technology and software development and 5-10 years' experience in a similar role(s).
  • The person in this role should be experienced with leading a large organization with teams of high-caliber developers, have an extensive knowledge of product development processes and a strong and diverse technical background with the ability to intelligently communicate across technology functional areas (Requirements, Infrastructure, Development, QC, Production Support, etc).
  • Candidate needs to demonstrate ability to define, evolve, mature and apply processes, methodologies, and tools in the delivery of complex cross-functional technology initiatives and be enthusiastic about building quality software products with world-class people, processes and tools. A track record of achievement working in a customized software development environment is expected.
  • Candidate should be experienced in managing a diverse project portfolio which in addition to delivery requires strong management of stakeholder requirements and prioritization, financial planning and portfolio scope and resource management.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, negotiation, stakeholder, project and people management skills are required as well as direct experience in managing teams in a large matrix global organization, must be able to promote teamwork within/across groups.
  • In addition, the successful candidate should have highly effective written and oral communication skills; excellent organizational and management skills.
