The incumbent will play a crucial role in spearheading techno functional analysis, design, development and application support around the bank's specific technology streams and its sub-system.

The incumbent is required to articulate/interlock with key business users, manage third party vendors, internal developers, other IT teams and relevant business stakeholders in a professional manner. In addition, the incumbent will lead the team to carry out development leading to implementation.

He/She will manage the application life cycle management, application support and overall technical governance. The main business domain areas are credit and market risk in a wealth management environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and functional leadership to various areas including projects, enhancements, application support and other application lifecycle management activities - software upgrades/patching, technical risk assessment reporting, application audits, vendor management, contracts management, demand management and capacity management.
  • Manage the roadmap for the bank's credit application platform.
  • Work with the architects, solution managers, project managers to provide inputs, and effort estimates to the development of the various project artifacts namely logical design, functional design, technical design, project initiation document.
  • Act as a direct point of escalation with key stakeholders from the business area on application support matters including IT service management, production incident management, complaints and complex service requests.
  • To carry out development as well as supervise peer developer(s) or engaged development services, System Integrator or vendor to deliver required software application change enhancements (CRs), bug fixes, and change for risk remediation.
  • To deliver prototypes (when relevant) based on high level business and functional requirements.
  • Ensure all development have been unit tested in compliance to design and functional specifications and provide support to downstream testing such as SIT and UAT.
  • Provide 3rd Level Application Support for analysis and issue resolution; assist team lead in technical problem root cause analysis and see to delivering solution to eliminate or fix root cause in production problems.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of business processes and solution design.
  • Provide and demonstrate technical leadership to junior team member(s).


Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent in an IT related discipline.
  • Financial technology experience (Wealth Management, Investment Management, Asset Management, Investment Banking preferred). Experience in credit and market risk related application development and support will be a plus.
  • Experience in the discipline of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, especially in the solution, analysis, testing and implementation phases of the SDLC processes.
  • At least 6-8 years of experience developing with technologies such as .NET, C#, SQL, Web Development (MVC) preferably in a financial institution.
  • Strong skills in database technologies including physical data model design, stored procedures, functions, indexes, performance tuning and understanding execution plans.
  • Strong experience in the field of Data Management, Data Warehousing and ETL.
  • Knowledge on various asset classes such as equities, fixed income, loans, deposits, FX, Options will be a plus.
  • Previous experience with platforms such as TEMENOS T24 or Triple A will be considered an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to handle multiple projects and priorities concurrently and manage business expectations accordingly.
  • Experience in Java, Web Services (REST and SOAP) and middleware technologies is required.
  • Experience in creating and documenting design, technical specification, test cases and unit test scripts.
  • Experience in software engineering governance disciplines like SEI-CMMi, Agile development is an advantage.
