A key part of the role involves learning all aspects of the investment desks approach to sustainability, understanding companies and critical sustainability issues. This includes work closely with the desk analysts and portfolio managers to ensure that sustainable tools and analytics are suitable to meet their requirements. This will be applicable at the country, sector and company level.
This role will involve spending much time with the senior investors and working alongside the sustainability team given the importance of sustainability both internally and externally. To do this, it will be key to understand our tools, in particular SustainEx, and to assist in its development of how we better incorporate more bottom-up fundamental analysis into the factors driving SustainEx scores.
The evolution of our internal sustainable tools, and the surrounding analytics, will be important for the next stage of our development. As awareness of sustainability for our clients increases, so does the importance of how we demonstrate our sustainable credentials externally. Given this, we also expect that this role will work with product management colleagues to enhance how we communicate with our clients via analytics and reporting.
We’re a global investment manager. We help institutions, intermediaries and individuals around the world invest money to meet their goals, fulfil their ambitions, and prepare for the future. We have around 4,000 people on six continents. And we’ve been around for over 200 years, but keep adapting as society and technology changes. What doesn’t change is our commitment to helping our clients, and society, prosper.
The sustainability team helps to integrate their sustainability research into what we invest across asset classes and geographies. We don’t stop at Equities, but use our insights to inform decisions in other areas including fixed income and real estates. It’s integral in everything we do.
This role will report into the Head of Research and open to be based in either our Singapore or Hong Kong Schroders’ office.
