Description
  • The APAC Compliance Testing Team conducts AML and economic sanctions compliance testing reviews to confirm adherence to Laws, Rules and Regulations, Corporate and Business Line Policies and Procedures applicable to the BNY Mellon's business.
  • The primary role is to analyze relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and industry practices and validate if there are effective controls to ensure BNY Mellon's ongoing compliance with Regulatory and Corporate Compliance policies.
  • This will be achieved through the following, but not limited to -
  • Planning, preparation and execution of Compliance Testing reviews
  • Evaluation of the design and effectiveness of controls and identification of areas of concerns / improvement
  • Issue management - reporting, tracking and closure of issue in a timely manner
  • Preparation of Annual Planning and Management Information Report
  • Participation in business, Compliance Testing and Internal Audit meetings and where applicable
  • Participation in ad-hoc Compliance-related projects, as required


Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Business or Finance degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 years industry experience with at least 2 years of Compliance & Risk, testing and/or audit experience with sound knowledge of financial crime compliance regulations
  • Applicable professional certifications preferred (e.g. CAMS, CGSS, CFCS)
  • Good knowledge of Computer and MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Ability to partner and negotiate appropriate outcomes
  • Good written and verbal communication skills along with eye for detail
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective time management skill to meet stringent deadlines
