Our client is currently kicking-off a major business/IT transformation project with the main objective to reduce its IT costs and converge processes / organization and IT Systems across different locations. The solution architect is a key member of the detailed preparation and implementation phase of this program.
Role and Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the high level architecture view of the program
- Prepare and present the program in the architecture committee and Group architecture committee
- Support the solutioning on areas not fully detailed or pending arbitrage by organizing brainstorming/follow-ups with internal and external experts and by contributing with his own expertise/experience. E.G. but not restricted to: data platform, workflow automation tool, target Cloud patterns, multi-entity guidelines etc.
- Follow-up with the program management team and participate in weekly/monthly project meetings, act as SPOC for the Program PMO
- Build a plan to validate the architecture of all applications impacted in the program
- Follow-up with application teams on the progress of architecture validation of their applications
- Review solutions proposed by application teams and Domain solutions architects and check their alignment with our target principles. Escalate to global teams and program management when needed
- Document and/or update the bank's architecture principles
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in IT either as Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect or Tech Lead
- 3+ years of experience in software development
- Broad technical knowledge and experience across application, development frameworks, technology, information domains
- Understanding of the Enterprise Architecture discipline, processes, concepts, and best practices (TOGAF for instance)
- Experience in modeling activities (application maps, software design models, data modeling, infrastructure diagrams, …)
- Strong analysis skills with problem solving attitude
- Good oral & written skills. Mainly PowerPoint/Excel
- Experience in Financial & Banking industry
- Effective leadership, planning and organization skills
