Your Role

Our Asia Life/Health team is seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter with strong underwriting expertise to contribute to the growth, development, and profitability of our business across Asia. You will provide medical and financial underwriting expertise, while supporting underwriting research and development, product innovation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the region. Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the region, you will help deliver practical underwriting solutions for our clients and business partners.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Underwritingfor medical, financial and special risks within the scope of assignedunderwriting limits
• Conducttimely underwriting assessments in accordance with established guidelines andbest practices, consulting with medical advisors, peers, and management asappropriate
• Continuouslyenhance underwriting expertise to maintain professional and business standards
• Monitor casereferral volumes, underwriting reports and other relevant statistics of eachbranch
• Support thedevelopment, implementation, and continuous improvement of underwritingoperational standards, case intake processes, and quality control initiativesacross the region
• Contribute tothe review and enhancement of internal and client underwriting guidelines
• Supportdigitalization initiatives and promote the adoption of new underwritingpractices
• Collaboratewith cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to design and deliver bespokeproducts and innovative solutions
• Providetimely and expert advice on underwriting matters, ensuring effective resolutionof underwriting issues across Asia Life/Health and Global Life/Health
• Conductresearch and review new and existing product definitions and solutions
• Participatein regional and international initiatives and projects

Your Profile

• Relevanttertiary qualification with a minimumof 12 years of work experience in a life insurance or reinsurancecompany, including good knowledge of one or more of Asian markets
• Sound medical underwriting knowledge and experience withlife, critical illness, disability and health insurance products
• Professionalunderwriting qualifications such as FALU or equivalent are advantageous
• Goodcommand of English, both written and spoken
• Proficiency in an additional Asian language would be anadvantage, given the regional scope of the role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ableto work independently while also being an effective team player
• Willingnessand ability to undertake occasional regional travel
