Position Summary:

The Quantitative Modelling and Analytics (QMA) team is particularly active in two areas : pricing and risk analytics for derivatives trading and electronic trading algorithms. The team is part of TD Securities Technology and has strong links with front office, risk and control functions and other tech teams. We provide in-house developed quant libraries that are incorporated into enterprise risk systems, pricing applications, investment research and trading systems.

We are looking to build an integrated team of quants and application developers to support growth in the Asia Pacific region. As the senior technical lead, you will be an accomplished quant and provide leadership and guidance to more junior staff members. Blending mathematical understanding with technical pragmatism, you will drive and oversee the tactical and strategic deliveries of the wider team. You will build strong relationships with traders and be the touch point for all pricing and risk issues. The initial focus is on interest rates and FX, though the remit may expand to more trading desks.

Skills & Requirements

  • Advanced degree in computer science, maths, physics, engineering etc.
  • Excellent experience as a derivatives quant
  • Deep knowledge of quant finance, derivative pricing and markets
  • Expert level C++ is mandatory, Java and python are a bonus
  • Wider interest in software architecture and data flow
  • Comfortable working in spreadsheets and trading systems
  • Experienced in leading teams
  • Strong communication skills
