The Singapore Branch is a Wholesale Banking Branch, offering a full suite of world class financial products and services. The Singapore Branch also serves as the Bank’s regional office in Asia Pacific, providing financial services to both companies as well as financial institutions, and also seeks to leverage on the trade corridor spanning from Asia to the Middle East and Africa.

Job Purpose:

To assist the Team Lead in performing the Credit Administration function in conjunction with and under the guidance of CAD-International, Head Office; to ensure preparation and updating of documentation relating to credit facilities and accurate detailing prior to system inputs; to ensure the authenticity of the security documents executed by the customers; to encode credit limits and lodgment of credit documentation into the Bank’s system; prepare and circulate related reports; and assist in controlling various risks at the branch within Group framework, approved appetite and regulatory requirements. Key Accountabilities:

Security and Documentation

  • Ensure that credit approvals are signed by the approved delegated credit authority.
  • Assist in the preparation of standard documentation, security related documents and other condition precedent documents, etc. in compliance with sanctioned credit approvals.
  • Ensure all security / support documents have been properly executed and authorised.
  • Coordinate with Product Specialists/Coverage/Credit/Group Legal (as required) to complete the documentation process prior to encoding of facility limits in the System.
  • Ensure approval from relevant authorities is held for deferrals/ waiver of any incomplete documents.
  • Ensure rectification of existing discrepancies / deficiencies (if any) in documentation.
  • Lodge and maintain up to date security documents / collaterals in the Bank’s system.
  • Verify and confirm periodically at the renewal of credit facilities, all required security / support documents are physically held in (dual) safe custody. 
  • Ensure safe-keeping and archiving of credit documentation in the vaults.
  • Review / verify approvals obtained for release of collaterals, security documentation and ensure there are no liabilities / outstanding and facilities are cancelled.

 

Credit Control

  • Upon completion of credit documentation, to encode the credit limits in the Bank’s systems.
  • Ensure the limits are correctly setup and activated in the systems in line with approved product types, terms & conditions, rate structure, fees & any other special instructions.
  • Maintain and review the credit limits periodically and at every annual review dates in the Systems.
  • Co-ordinate with stakeholders and work closely with HO on limits allocations.

 

Management Information Systems (MIS) and Reporting

  • Ensure integrating accurate and timely internal and regulatory reporting.
  • Assist in generating monthly monitoring reports on submission of financial covenants, financial reports etc. to be circulated to the management and coverage teams.
  • Prepare and disseminate reports relating to limit excesses, collateral, documentation deficiencies and any other relevant reports.
  • Collaborating with IT on system enhancements as and when requirements.
  • Deliver on any other reports requested by CAD-HO and management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree with 4-5 years banking experience
  • Credit Administration or Credit Risk experience will be an added advantage.
  • High integrity and business ethics
  • Excellent communication skills and strong team player
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with external and internal stakeholders.
