Overview of Division/Department
Our Asia & Oceania Department (AOD) is responsible for setting up a business strategy and a business plan for the Asia & Oceania region, which includes the conduct of profit management and administrative operations for the branches, subsidiaries and affiliates under the International Banking Unit in the Asia & Oceania region ("the Branches"). In addition, we oversee the legal regulations and compliance matters of the Branches and ensure that we comply with the local regulator of each country that we operate in. Above all, we promote collaboration with subsidiaries or affiliated companies of Mizuho Financial Group.
Your key roles & responsibilities include:
- Supporting the team to promote our business regionally through various channels including but not limited to coordinating and managing enquiries and activities to facilitate business promotion meetings and activities.
- Advising the corporate bankers and relationship managers in our regional branches on business opportunities through close relationships with them.
- Conducting analysis and studies to develop business plans and preparing presentation materials .
What you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree with at least three years prior relevant experience working in a Bank
- Experience working in a Bank with corporate banking and/or accounting background will be an advantage but not mandatory.
- Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese languages, as the incumbent is expected to read and understand documents as well as respond in these two languages
