The Role Responsibilities

Strategy & Objectives
· Ensure that clear objectives are set for the functions within the Production Services Transaction Banking & Global Banking, and that individual's P3 objective reflect these objectives
· Ensure these objectives are reflected in the team scorecard, which will align to theT&I & CCIB scorecards
· Report on the achievement of these objectives on a regular basis via the scorecard
· Management of transformation & remediation activities within the domain

Operating Model
· Define and implement a standardised Target Operating Model (TOM) and organization structure, including a location strategy
· Implement Standardised titles, Job Descriptions and packages
· Work with Production Services Transaction Banking & Global Banking head to rationalize the seniority and span of the organisation

Communications & Engagement
· Implement a People Communications & Engagement plan, which will include maintaining an up to date site on The Bridge, regular offsites & townhalls, and management forums
· Communication of team achievements on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis to key stakeholders

Capability Upskill
· Review requirements of Production Services Transaction Banking & Global Banking Reousrces and manage solutions for technology training pipeline and resource alignment to meet strategy
· Ensure the appropriate support is in place with Learning & Development (L&D) for the team
· Up to date & valid succession plans are in place, reviewed and signed off on a regular basis

Resource Management
· Ensure that the appropriate headcount caps by location and grade are complied with
· Challenge resource growth in various functions

· Act as a SPOC for all functional hiring

Investment & Efficiency
· Define and implement at strategy to improve workforce analytics, productivity & reporting
· Review various processes amongst functions and work with functional heads to enhance processes
    Act as a Single Point of Contact for all Technology Investments and projects. Prepare PED for any material investment requirements. Ensure BAU requirements are included in CIO or Technology Services PEDs, as required
· Drive Business Efficiencies within Production Services Transaction Banking & Global Banking and help meet set targets

People and Talent
· Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners
· Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people, and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks
· Employ, engage and retain high quality people
· Drive diversity and mentoring for Production Services Transaction Banking and Global Banking

Financial Management
· Engage with Finance teams to ensure that the appropriate support & management information is provided to meet the budget
· Ensure resources are tagged to the right cost centers for accurate financial reporting
· Ensure all vendor payments are completed and all accruals are in place for year end

Vendor Management
· Vendor management framework is fully implemented within the team and full compliance for Contract Manager responsibilities
· Liaison with Sourcing & Vendor Management teams where vendor contracts require renegotiation
· Ensure all Statement of Work are in place and renewed in a timely manner

Risk Management & Governance
· Take personal responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance requirements of the role. Understand and comply with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws and regulations, including those governing anti-money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions; the Group's policies and procedures; and the Group Code of Conduct. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk and compliance matters. Embed the Group's values and code of conduct to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations among employees form part of the culture
Act as a global Business Continuity Planning Manager and ensure Business Imapact Analysis is performed across all functions

Our Ideal Candidate
· Minimum 8 years experience in Banking, Information Technology
· Minimum 5 years experience as Business Manager or relevant role
· Excellent organizational and leadership skills
· Experience of developing a people strategy, influencing relevant stakeholders and decision makers, and executing decisions efficiently and consistently
· Experience with defining and implementing operating models and driving organizational change
· Strong knowledge and understanding of Technology, the Group and its businesses and functions
· Ability to lead and control programme and/or project management in the context of a significant amount of change
· Excellent organisational skills, with ability to manage multiple deadlines and effectively prioritise
· Excellent communication skills - oral, written and presentation
· Good working knowledge of software application: Outlook (intermediate), Word (intermediate), Powerpoint (intermediate), Excel (intermediate)
· Numeracy - Very strong understanding around budgeting and forecasting, particularly around headcount cost
· BSc/BA in Business Management or relevant field; MSc/MA/MBA will be a plus
