Job description:

This is a critical role and requires an experience Leader to help us transform our IT Workplace into a Modernize, Mobile and Secure IT Workplace for Singtel.



  • Lead an Engineering team to modernise and produce enterprise-level solutions for IT Workplace which includes laptops, desktops, tablets and mobile devices for Singtel.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance service delivery related to IT Workplace.
  • Support escalation for application support and troubleshooting, provides guidance and direction in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems.
  • Perform the role of Subject Matter Expert for complex issues related to Microsoft, VMWare, Citrix, and other key software tools used in IT Workplace.
  • Maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate SOPs before handing over to IT Workplace Operation teams.
  • Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.
  • Provide training to team members to drive innovation and operational excellence.
  • Manage customer satisfaction through effectively communicating and managing customer expectations
  • Implement new IT Workplace solutions by engaging both internal and external teams/vendors.
  • Responsible to create and customise IT Workplace solutions that are scalable, adaptable and support the ever-changing business needs.
  • Direct oversight and management of project deliverables related to IT Workplace Services that adhere to standards and policies as well as drive the project from technical perspective.
  • Requires working closely with Architecture and Strategy teams to define IT Workplace technology architecture. And present to Architecture Board for approval if require.
  • Need to work closely with all Operations teams to ensure smooth Day-2 operationalisation of any technology implementation.



  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • Min. 12 years of experience working with Microsoft technologies (including Windows OS, Active Directory, Windows File Services, and Group Policies, Intune, Autopilot, Office365, Microsoft Authenticator), Citrix and VMWare in a competitive IT environment serving more than 5000 end-users.
  • Proven experience in project delivery that span multiple countries and security domains.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a mixed workforce of internal and outsourced contractors to achieve maximum efficiency and results.
  • Experience in business case justification.
  • Adept in vendor and external partners management.
  • Good knowledge of AD, ADFS, PKI in Windows Servers, DNS, DHCP, WINS, DFS, Microsoft enterprise technology, VDI and any remote access technology.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft IP&G, Microsoft Exchange, UAM products.
  • Must have deep and thorough understanding of monitoring best practices, and compliance to best practices for security and operations.
  • Develops, documents, and enforces the standards, security procedures, and controls for access to ensure integrity of the Windows Systems, Active Directory, and related systems.
  • Knowledge of server virtualization technologies, preferably VMware and/or Microsoft technologies
  • Proven track record on deploying and managing multiple Windows Active Directory Forests and Domains 2008/2012/2016/2019 and Azure AD.
  • Strong knowledge on Azure Active Directory Connect synchronization services, Active Directory Federation Service and File and Print services, Citrix and VMWare services.
  • Strong knowledge on Group Policy, AD Trusts, AD Sites and Services, DNS, DHCP and DFS.
  • Working knowledge authentication protocols such as Multi-Factor, NTLM, Kerberos, SAML(SSO) and AP.
  • Good to have exposure in managing other technologies such as internet proxy and end point protection product suites such as MS Defender/MCAS.
  • Good working knowledge on Windows 10/Endpoint/Email/Gateway DLP and Security, Encryption, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Client/Mobile Device Patching and Proxy technologies
