Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior HR Consultant.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Manage the successful delivery of large scale HR programmes and initiatives that support the business strategy as set out in strategic people plans
  • Work closely with Business Stakeholders, HR Business Partners, HR Advisors and Specialists to help design and deliver pragmatic solutions to solve business problems across HSBC Singapore (HBAP and entities)
  • Frame complex challenges by leveraging internal and external expertise to deliver solutions that have measurable impact for our business
  • Manage large scale programme delivery and proactively balance scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget and risks where applicable
  • Effectively manage complex relationships and drive high engagement with internal and external stakeholders
  • Be responsible for effective programme controls and procedures within their given initiatives
  • Report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to the relevant governance forum or stakeholder, and make recommendations to influence decision making with a delivery focus
  • Manage a team if appropriate to meet performance targets aligned to programme objectives and role-model desired behaviours 

Requirements

  • Experience of working in an HR environment consisting of business partnering/relationship management with business leaders supported by shared services and areas of expertise
  • Experience in transformation/change and/or large scale programme management roles
  • Relevant project management qualifications and CIPD accreditation (desirable but not essential)
  • Complex stakeholder management experience
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to establish trust and credibility
  • Flexibility, tenacity and resilience to deal with business demands
  • Calm under pressure; ability to re-prioritise in very short timescales
