Senior Editor - Writer (1 Year Contract)
The Role: Senior Editor - Writer (1 Year Contract)

As a Senior Editor, you will apply strong editing skills to a wide range of digital publications at S&P Global Ratings. You will help to create and develop engaging, meaningful, and error-free content through critical thinking, strong attention to detail, and production tasks. You will collaborate with analytical teams to draw out the key message of research to better tell the "credit story" and support market relevance. You will produce content that meets evolving regulatory requirements and the strong quality standards of S&P Global Ratings. You will work in daily collaboration with a global team spanning 19 countries.

Location: Singapore

The Team/Business: This role is under the Chief Operating Office of S&P Global Ratings. You will work in collaboration with credit analysts and other internal departments.

  • Editing rating action and surveillance articles on bank, insurance, infrastructure and corporate sectors, mostly in Greater China and Southeast Asia
  • Drafting compelling press releases and headlines
  • Drafting engaging social media posts
  • Formatting and publishing articles, creating charts
  • Liaising with analysts, marketing, and Communications teams
  • Meeting exacting deadlines with error-free content
  • Bachelor's degree holder in Finance, Economics, Journalism or a related discipline
  • At least 3-5 years of editorial experience, preferably in the Financial Services industry
  • Strong editing and writing abilities, good people management and communication skills, excellent attention to details, awareness of deadlines
  • Sound knowledge of terminology and concepts used in the capital markets and Financial Services industry will be preferable
  • High energy and creativity, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, global and multicultural environment
  • Preferably able to develop charts, graphs, infographics and visuals to help complement stories
  • Native-language ability in English
