Our client, a Global Investment Bank is looking for an ambitious candidate with strong leadership skills to join the business as Senior Director of Balance Sheet Management. This role will encompass strategy design with a regional reach to manage structural liquidity risk and to deliver the Group's ALCO agenda whilst maintaining best practice and optimizing benefits across the Asian business. You will build a strong regional balance sheet management team to support the regional ALCO and support the Treasury Markets team to enhance liquidity management of the entity.

Responsibilities:

- Set the liquidity framework for regional operations whilst building a collaborative relationship with market regulators and partnering on strategic regulatory changes 

- Oversee the regulatory reporting process, embed robust controls and develop and lead strategic projects from scoping through to execution

- Monitor the strategic balance sheet measures to ensure adherence to approved limits whilst also advising regional management on optimal balance sheet shape and analytics

- Ensure adherence to structural liquidity limits to ensure country risk exposure remains within the set parameters whilst simultaneously identifying related challenges and making necessary recommendations to Business Heads and Treasury

- People management both onshore and offshore

 

Prerequisites for role:

- At least 15 years of technical experience that covers Balance Sheet Management, liquidity regulation (eg 649,652), treasury and funds transfer pricing

- A strong track record in driving strategy across Balance Sheet Management

- A natural leader with experience managing both onshore and offshore teams

- Experience assisting ALCO for banking balance sheets

- Previous stakeholder engagement at a Senior Management level
