You will be part of the Group Regional Business Finance (Banking) team based in Singapore.

Key Job Responsibilities (Critical responsibilities and skills of this position, listed in order of importance)

  • Play a key role in standardizing accounting-related matters across regional banking entities, including accounting policies, procedures, chart of accounts etc.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across different country finance teams to execute crucial alignment projects for banking, such as process improvement and system implementation
  • Seek excellence and continuous improvement through developing business models, identifying potential finance & tax risks and proposing feasible solutions to the banking business
  • Contribute to the development of banking business by assisting in the rollout of new initiatives, with a view of the potential finance and tax impacts
  • Oversee and guide country finance teams on month-end closing, accuracy of system data and any accounting related matters
  • Take ownership in the analysis on financial performance and operation key statistics
  • Assist business through providing data, insights and analytics to support the team in making the right data driven decisions
     

Key Job Requirements (Critical and desirable requirements of this position)

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
  • 5 - 7 years of relevant banking experience and/or in Big 4 external audit of banking are desired
  • Strong project management skills and high-quality successful project delivery experiences
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage and influence stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong accounting knowledge, particularly in the context of banking
  • A team player with strong logical and analytical thinking skills and attention to detail and accuracy
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced and demanding environment while delivering quality results
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools, in particular Microsoft Excel, with good command in English (written and oral)
  • Flexible and bright personality, open to commit in a dynamic environment
