Senior Analyst – Commodities and Global Markets Compliance

Join our Commodities & Global Markets product compliance team in Singapore and work closely with our industry leading front office.

Strong prudential management has been a key to our success over many years. Singapore serves as the Commodities & Global Markets hub for Asia, where the business engages in sales, structuring and trading activities in various over-the-counter, exchange-traded and banking instruments. Besides Singapore, our team in Asia currently has presence in Hong Kong, China, South Korea, Japan, India, Malaysia, and Indonesia, and we expect the business footprint in this region to grow over time.

You will join our division as an experienced Compliance professional in Singapore, to manage the compliance and regulatory risks associated with the dynamic regulatory environment that the business operates in.

You will have a reporting line to the divisional Head of Asia based in Singapore, with primary coverage responsibility for banking, foreign exchange and structuring businesses in Asia. To deliver the above coverage, you will advise key stakeholders in Asia across a wide range of business needs and drive various implementations to ensure that we continue to meet relevant obligations within its regulatory and compliance framework. Your ability to engage and influence business stakeholders, as well as to collaborate with the broader compliance and risk function, will be critical to your success.

You will form part of an expert team who, along with the above, manage the regulatory relationship with Monetary Authority of Singapore, drive regulatory change in the business and assist senior management with the delivery of key divisional projects as required. You will work on the compliance review of new transactions and products. There is an element of this team overseeing the monitoring, reporting and escalation of compliance issues. You will also be involved in the development and execution of compliance monitoring plans, related policies and procedures and monitor compliance with these policies.

To be successful in this role you will have some relevant compliance or business advisory experience. An understanding of banking and derivatives products, as well as some familiarity with recent and ongoing regulatory reforms, will be essential. You will have the ability to take a pragmatic commercial approach to compliance, with an interest in working closely with the business to drive key outcomes.
