SVP/VP, Regional Collection Transformation Deputy Head, Risk Management Group

Business Function

Risk Management Group works closely with our business partners to manage the bank's risk exposure by balancing its objective to maximise returns against an acceptable risk profile. We partner with origination teams to provide financing, investments and hedging opportunities to our customers. To manage risk effectively and run a successful business, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Regional Collection Head Back-up

  • Able to strategize the digital Collection roadmap in the region
  • Be a back-up to the Regional Collection Head role in her absence
  • Lead the Country Collection Heads in the region to drive collection efficiency
  • Work with L&D to plan Collection Trainings to upskill or reskill collection staff for the digital Collection model

Digital Transformation Journey

  • Lead countries on digital initiatives for the collection transformation journey
  • Be a part of the Regional Collection team that drive the digital transformation journey across the region (6 markets)
  • Support strategic vision for an Instant Contextual Ever-Ready (I.C.E.) operating model in CBG/WM Credit, focusing on innovation, quality & control, productivity and future-skilling
  • Work closely with Country Collection Heads & their one-down to identify opportunities to enable digitalization and innovation in our collection management processes & data analytic
  • Co-create the target operating model for the digital future, including preparing roadmap/ initiatives to upskill our people for new digital roles

Performance Monitoring and Improvement
  • Assist in setting the regional strategic direction and phase of each country based on the current infrastructure, operation management standard and gap analysis
  • Assist in review of respective country collection initiatives and process improvement
  • Track and monitor key collection strategy implementations in all locations
  • Track the progress of strategic changes made in accordance to plan and manage issues escalated with relevant stakeholders
  • Assist to track closure of audit issues with the countries, where applicable
  • To participate in continuous improvement in risk tools implementation and relevant industry best practices



Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in any relevant field
  • At least 8 years of Collection experience in consumer lending business
  • Good grasp of Collection best practices and processes; Good knowledge of Collection system and Collection MIS & performance analysis
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, has courage to challenge status quo, take initiatives to design, adapt, experiment and deliver value
  • Has appetite to build functional breadth in credit & collection skills and business knowledge through parallel learning, observation and participation
  • Able to assimilate new information quickly
  • Possess critical thinking skills, able to ask questions and connect the dots
  • Able to manage ambiguity and complexities
  • Digital savvy with good understanding of using data analytics and new technology tools to drive change
  • Good communicator and strong interpersonal skills, able to manage a diverse group of cross-border and cross-functional stakeholders
