On behalf of an international commercial bank, with a global presence, we are seeking an experienced commercial banking relationship manager. You will have 8-15 years experience in trade finance / commercial loans / syndicated loans / cash management and liabilities and a demonstrable track record of revenue generation.
Your product experience should extend to Lending, Payments, Trade Finance, Treasury (FX, Rates and Commodities) and DCM.
This role is based in Hong Kong but the client focus is Singapore / South East Asia and your current client portfolio should reflect that. Please note that whilst relocation will be offered the job will fall under a local contract in Hong Kong.
Base salary HKD 80,000 to HKD 100,000 per month + bonus + benefits
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of corporate banking clients with a focus on Singaporean SME and/or large corporate accounts.
- Actively develop new business opportunities, marketing and selling of corporate banking services to potential clients. These can be local and/or regional.
- Oversee credit application processes, conduct regular credit reviews, and take ensure credit quality according to internal policies and procedures.
- Manage client on-boarding processes in alignment with compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Regularly monitor the quality of loan book and ensure that control measures are in place to minimise risk exposure.
- Cross-sell treasury and cash management products.
Requirements:
- 8 – 15 years’ relationship management experience in commercial banking and trade finance.
- Excellent understanding of commercial banking products including: Trade Finance (L/Cs, Financing, Guarantees etc.); Syndicated Loans; Commercial Loans; Deposits / Liabilities, Treasury and FX solutions.
- Demonstrable history of business development, client management and revenue generation with clients across Singapore and South East Asia.
- Excellent English language communication skills are essential with Mandarin and/or Cantonese desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree, or above, in business, finance or related discipline(s).
