The team acts as a Front Office support function for the Corporate Bank Relationship Managers and wider business, in relations business related tasks connected to the Know Your Client (KYC) and Off-boarding processes within the bank

Details of the Division and Team: 

The APAC KYC Business Support Unit (BSU), Corporate Bank is a newly function within Client Lifecycle Management, COO Operations. The team acts as a Front Office support function for the Corporate Bank Relationship Managers and wider business, in relations business related tasks connected to the Know Your Client (KYC) and Off-boarding processes within the bank.

The function acts as a go-between the Front Office sales / relationship managers, the wider KYC Ops organisation and other supporting functions within the bank – to ensure:

Accurate maintenance of the client perimeter

Pre Off-boarding reviews / checks are preformed to avoid core clients being off-boarded
Assignment and attestations of Accountable Client Owner (ACO) tasks
Monitoring progression of Business related tasks for KYC Process (KYC Approvals / Account Activity Reviews)

Your key responsibilities:

Manage day to day workload, performance and delivery of the BSU team members supporting the ACO and Process work stream within the BSU function
Stakeholder Management to Corporate Bank APAC ExCo members
Capacity utilization analysis, planning & capacity allocation within the team
Key gatekeeper of CB BSU enhancement/improvement wish list/issue log and interfacing with global counterparts and external parties to deliver enhancements
Allocating of work to BSU team members and setting daily / weekly targets / deliverables
Monitor and escalate any process abnormality to team members/management or global counterparts
Manage team reporting / MIS to highlight key initiatives and team achievements
Manage new Adhoc queries/initiatives from global counterparts
People management – coaching, motivate and inspire team to deliver beyond BAU and grow
Guidance to team members on any queries/issues and act as escalation point

Your skills and experience:

Overall 8 years of experience with at least 5 years of experience in the Banking/Finance industry, with 2 years of experience in client on boarding/KYC environment/business management and/or Corporate Bank a major plus
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Some Project Management experience will be valuable
Strong time management, organizational, planning and follow-up skills; ability to multi-task effectively
Ability to analyse complex problems, define solutions and drive implementation in a global arena
Ability to manage teams locally and virtually
Excellent team work spirit and possess positive working attitude
Able to cope well under pressure and manage workload with coming deadlines
Eye for detail, willingness to question current state practices and drive process efficiency
Ability to apply regulatory guidance to review process in absence of written policy
Dynamic thinking and highly adaptable to constantly changing environment
Ability to work with information/files receiving from multiple directions and able to identify actions / next steps based on complex / multi source data 
Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with business heads, senior managers, consultants, technical experts across the whole department and business users and with global teams.
Strong MS Office skills – including excel
