Our client’s end customer, a well-established financial service organisation is looking for a Programme Management Office Manager (PMO) to join their team. They are currently establishing a strategy, governance framework, operating model and IT services to provide digital banking services via application programming interfaces APIs to its clients and partners.  The role is based in Singapore.  6 month rolling contract. The role of the PMO is to govern the project.

 

The project is:

  • Manage the customer business/IT governance forums
  • Create a strategy, operating model and road map
  • Evaluate required technologies
  • Investigate both internal and external ecosystems for API based banking

 

Knowledge and experience within the modern portfolio and project management practices and techniques desirable.  5+ years’ experience of PMO management within the financial services industry a must.

 

Responsibilities: -

 

  • Provide support and guidance on portfolio, programme and project management processes, procedures, tools and techniques
  • Support includes – advice on development, production and maintenance of business cases; time, cost, and resourcing
  • Tracking and reporting
  • Facilitate workshops and documentation
  • Take responsibility for planning, scheduling and tracking projects
  • Setup and provide guidance of project management software, procedures, processes, tools and techniques
  • Cross programme views on risk, changes, quality, finances or configuration management

 

Level of Responsibility and Experience: -

  • Able to influence others
  • Knowledge and experience of modern portfolio and project management techniques and practices.
  • Experience of being a PMO manager in the financial sector
