Job description:

IoT Connectivity Product Specialist/Pre-sales

We are always looking for subject matter specialists with a genuine passion in their field to articulate Singtel’s value proposition to businesses.  Solid foundation in building solutions using technology, agility to visualize possible solution configurations and strong business acumen to qualify opportunities is essential to help win new businesses for Singtel’s IoT Connectivity business

 

Position Overview:

Our Product Specialists team is responsible for achieving the revenue objectives for Singtel’s IoT Connectivity portfolio.  The team will evangelise the value proposition of IoT to internal stakeholders and enable stakeholders to amplify the product, marketing and selling efforts of IoT across all relevant Singtel sales segments.  Our product specialists are also expected to deliver excellent customer experience through highest level of external customer engagements throughout the customer life cycle starting from pre-sales stage.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Presales:
    1. Work with Account Management teams and participate in the sales cycle on IOT opportunities.
    2. Build a healthy sales funnel to meet IoT revenue target.
    3. Identify customer requirements and design solutions that best meet their needs in IOT solutions.
    4. Provide effective responses to tenders/ RFPs/ Proposals with solution design and technical clarifications.
    5. Support business case analysis to support pricing proposals and escalations.
    6. Deliver technical presentations of proposed solutions covering both technical and operational benefits to customers.

 

  1. Solution Development:
    1. Collate customers' feedback/ requirements for the product management team to improve the services offered.
    2. Work closely with implementation and operations team on proposed design for successful delivery and implementation.
    3. Facilitate and bring together all the various resources whether internal or external to work with the Corporate Account team to bring each corporate customer's project to a successful closure.
    4. Own technical issues and drive resolution activities to completion.

 

  1. Business Development and Sales Enablement:
    1. Support seminars, exhibitions and demonstrations.
    2. Organize quarterly knowledge briefing sessions for new Account Manager.
    3. Work with Solutions & partners to generate more customers' referrals/ sales to Singtel.
    4. Own and continuously improve the IOT sales kit by working closely with internal product development teams and marketing teams to develop value propositions, sales presentations, marketing plans and competitive positioning.

 

 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Degree in IT/ Telecommunications/ EE/ Computer Science.
  • Minimum 5 years technical experience including at least 2 years' relevant working experience in a pre-sales role
  • Must be able to grasp complex technical information, interpret and articulate to audiences of varying technical levels.
  • Possess excellent presentation skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated strong professional experience in direct and/or related domain areas (mobile networks, GSM/CDMA/UMTS/LTE, IP networks)
  • Working knowledge of Cellular IoT Technologies such as NB-IoT, LTE-M would be desired.
  • Knowledge of 5G would be an added plus
  • Working experience with various customer premise equipment devices such as Routers, gateways, switches is desirable
  • Working Experience and or exposure with IoT (Internet of Things) technology would be a plus
